AMPHIBICOUnderwater video equipment
We have exclusively used Amphibico underwater video housings since GEERG was founded in 2003. Amphibico has consistently supported GEERG with housings, lighting and specialised lens that enable us to capture high quality images of one of the world's most rarely filmed sharks.
AQUARIUM DU QUÉBECLogistical and financial support
The Aquarium du Québec has been a financial and logistical supporter of GEERG since 2003. The Aquarium du Québec has helped GEERG acquire costly equipment and telemetry tags. Aquarium staff have also played key roles on our many expeditions in the St. Lawrence Estuary.
BEUCHAT CANADADiving equipment
For more than sixty years Beuchat has been at the forefront in the design, development, manufacturing and marketing of new products which have marked the history of diving. Beuchat Canada generously supports GEERG during its research operations in the cold waters of the St. Lawrence. We are thus very proud to serve as ambassadors of this illustrious company.
BIOAPPShark Observation Network
The BIOAPP is a web application designed for institutions, researchers, collectivities or individuals who need to collect data for one or many animal or plant species. GEERG and BIOAPP jointly developed the Shark Observation Network (SON), a worldwide database on shark sightings which enables users to record and share their shark observations on the Internet.
BOISVERT MARINE (Sorel-Tracy)Boat Engine Maintenance
Boisvert Marine - Équipement de plaisance, in the nearby city of Sorel-Tracy is GEERG's official Evinrude service centre. Boisvert Marine's generous contribution allows us to safely and efficiently operate the Evinrude E-TEC engine that powers our inflatable dive boat Kato.
EVINRUDE / BOMBARDIER RECREATIONAL PRODUCTSAward-winning E-TEC 50 HP engine for our inflatable boat
Evinrude outboard engines were ranked "Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Two-Stroke Outboard Engines in the U.S." in the J.D. Power and Associates 2009 Marine Engine Competitive Information Study. We coudn't be more pleased with the overall performance of our Evinrude engine: the cleanest and most environmentally efficient in its class available on the market today.
BOURRET INTERNATIONAL / BOURRET TRANSPORTLogistical and financial support
Bourret International has supported GEERG expeditions and projects since the very beginning. Bourret has supplied us with logistical support such as transportation, warehousing and power generation. Bourret has also been a generous financial contributor to help us pay for expedition costs and fleet maintenance.
EDEN CONSERVATION TRUSTFinancial support
The Eden Conservation Trust provides grants for the purpose of protecting and enhancing the physical and natural environment. GEERG is privileged to enjoy the support of the Eden Conservation Trust, whose generous contribution allows us to safely conduct research at sea and to promote shark conservation in Canada and abroad.
FOURTH ELEMENTSubX thermal undersuit
The SubX thermal undersuit has been developed for use with membrane and trilaminate drysuits, and all independent testers have rated it as the warmest undersuit they have tried. This is an undersuit designed for extreme diving conditions and has been tested in temperatures of -2°(29F). It is the perfect undersuit for our dives in the St. lawrence Estuary and Saguenay Fjord.
HORIBA SCIENTIFICU-53 Multiparameter Water Quality Checker
The Horiba U-53 allows us to monitor up to 11 parameters simultaneously, including pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, salinity, total dissolved solid, temperature, turbidity, and water depth. Being able to sample these environmental factors with high precision is an important part of our research on habitat use by the Greenland shark.
JORDAIR COMPRESSORSOceanus breathing air compressor
The Jordair and Bauer names are synonymous worldwide for quality, reliability and safety. The OCEANUS compressor is designed for use on vessels, diving boats and expeditions. It allows us to fill our scuba tanks during surface intervals without having to return to shore and drive long distances twice a day. The time and money saved allow us to be more productive and to depart at any time of the day without having to worry about fills and opening hours.

GEERG is privileged to enjoy the support of the Leon Judah Blackmore Foundation, whose generous contribution allows us to safely conduct research at sea and to promote shark conservation in Canada and abroad.
MONTREAL SCIENCE CENTREEducational and financial support
The Montreal Science Centre (Centre des sciences de Montréal) has helped GEERG acquire costly research equipment and telemetry tags. The Montreal Science Centre has also worked with GEERG and the Quebec Shark Observatory to promote shark awareness in Quebec during the 2013 exhibition: Planet Shark - Predator or Prey.
MUSÉE DU FJORDLogistical and financial support
The Musée du Fjord was GEERG's first institutional ally. The Musée helped organise Operation Skalugsuak, our winter expeditions in search of the Greenland shark under the frozen Saguenay Fjord. The Musée has also helped GEERG acquire costly equipment and telemetry tags.
