AQUARIUM DU QUÉBEC

The Aquarium du Québec has been a financial and logistical supporter of GEERG since 2003. The Aquarium du Québec has helped GEERG acquire costly equipment and telemetry tags. Aquarium staff have also played key roles on our many expeditions in the St. Lawrence Estuary.

MONTREAL SCIENCE CENTRE

The Montreal Science Centre (Centre des sciences de Montréal) has helped GEERG acquire costly research equipment and telemetry tags. The Montreal Science Centre has also worked with GEERG and the Quebec Shark Observatory to promote shark awareness in Quebec during the exhibition: Planet Shark - Predator or Prey.

MUSÉE DU FJORD

The Musée du Fjord was GEERG's first institutional ally. The Musée helped organise Operation Skalugsuak, our winter expeditions in search of the Greenland shark under the frozen Saguenay Fjord. The Musée has also helped GEERG acquire costly equipment and telemetry tags.

UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA

The University of British Columbia has been a scientific and logistical supporter of GEERG since 2004. UBC has helped GEERG acquire multiple acoustic tags and telemetry equipment. UBC staff have also played key research roles on our many expeditions in the St. Lawrence Estuary.

WORM LAB

The lab of Dr. Boris Worm includes students and postdoctoral fellows engaged in the study of marine biodiversity, its causes, consequences of change, and conservation. The Worm Lab is assisting GEERG in its study of the distribution of the Greenland shark and the basking shark using satellite tags.
